The Foresthill Public Utility District sets rates and charges to recover the cost of providing service. The district is required to maintain the treatment, transmission, storage, and distribution facilities necessary to serve each property that has paid the District System Connection Charge, regardless of how much water is used. The Foresthill Public Utility District water rate structure has a monthly charge and a consumption charge based on water use. The monthly charge is billed and payable whether any water is used and is prorated based on the number of days in the billing period.
